How Our Story Began
Adam and Alex Haiken Launch FliesForACause at West Marine in Fort Myers, FL
February 18, 2014
After several years fine-tuning their skills, Alex and Adam began tying their own flies. With a pair of cheap vices and each other's camaraderie, they spent hours in the garage fine-tuning and perfecting patterns before truly learning the art of fly-tying.

December 23, 2016
After successfully launching a non-profit business idea, Adam and Alex discovered a passion that would evolve into the organization you are reading about today. Their unique talent and awareness of the community enabled them to bring about change with something as small and simple as a fly. There is no better way to give back than by combining the love for a sport with a beneficial cause.
